Argentinean director Diego Lerman's "A sort of Family" won the top prize, the Gold Hugo, in the International Feature Film Competition. The movie had its U.S. premiere in Chicago. It tells the story of a doctor's desperate journey to adopt a baby girl.


The film "draws attention to systemic abuses of women, especially poor women that transpire all over our world," said the jury.


Joanna Kos-Krause and co-director Krzysztof Krauze from Poland received the Silver Hugo for Best Director for "Birds are Singing in Kigali."


The film presents the story of a Polish ornithologist who saved a colleague's daughter from the Rwandan genocide and brought her back to Europe to build a new life, only to realize that Africa is the place where they could come to terms with the tragedies they went through.

HO CHI MINH CITY, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's wushu team set a goal of winning three gold medals in the upcoming 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games this June in Singapore, according to a sport official.


The number of gold medals will be two less than the record of five the team had won in the previous SEA Games, including three gold medals in the taolu (performance) event and two gold medals in the sanshu (fighting) events, said Le Manh Ha, head of the wushu division under the Vietnam General Department of Sports and Physical Training on its website on Friday.


The official explained the set lower target as Singapore, the host for the SEA Games 28 nike air max 2017 online , decided to take away all women's sanshu events from the competition list, in which Vietnam had won two gold medals in the previous 27th SEA Games.

As scheduled, Vietnamese wushu artists will also compete at the Asian Junior Wushu Championship in China this August, and the World Wushu Championship in Indonesia in November, according to the sports department.
